Survive is a specialist and innovative agency providing high quality services for children and young people affected by domestic violence and abuse in South Gloucestershire and Bristol.

We are currently advertising for Children and Young People’s Outreach Workers

We have two positions available a full time post and a part time post (22.5 hours per week).

Contract: Fixed term until December 2017 – roles may be extended subject to funding.

The Children and Young People’s Outreach Worker will work within the Children and Young People’s team providing a range of services including group work programmes for 7 – 11 year olds and 11 – 17 year olds, specialist outreach on a 1:1 basis and educational programmes in schools.

We are looking for a person with at least three years experience of working in a relevant field. They will have an excellent understanding of safeguarding and experience of working with child protection issues. They will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact this has on children and young people. The successful candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, Teaching etc) or a level 3 qualification in a different field with an additional 2 years experience.
