Survive is a specialist, innovative agency providing high quality services for children and young people affected by domestic violence and abuse in South Gloucestershire and Bristol.
We are currently advertising for a Community Outreach Manager.
Salary: £27,553
Hours: 22.5 hours per week.
Contract: Fixed term until December 2017 – The role may be extended subject to funding.
The Community Outreach Manager will manage a team of 4 Children and Young People Outreach Workers, a Freedom Programme Facilitator, sessional workers and volunteers. The Children and Young People’s team provides a range of services including group work programmes for 7 – 11 year olds and 11 – 17 year olds, specialist outreach on a 1:1 basis and educational programmes in schools. We also offer a group programme for those over 18 years of age who have experienced domestic abuse.
You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and how this will affect children and young people. You will have at least 4 year’s relevant experience including staff management and safeguarding. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and a level 4 qualification in Social Work/Psychology or a related field (or a level 3 qualification with an additional 2 years experience). The Community Outreach Manager will work in partnership with our Chief Executive Officer and organisational manager to provide a high quality specialist service.
