Salary: £20,575 to £23,300 per annum, pro rata (£10.69 per hour)

We are looking to recruit a Refuge Support Worker (female only*) for 30 hours per week (substantive post) with an additional 7 hours per week until mid November 2016. This is a maternity covering post with an expectation of the post running until March 2017. There is some flexibility over how these hours are worked but it is anticipated that the post will provide cover over 5 days.

Survive is a dynamic, innovative agency which provides high quality services to women and children affected by domestic abuse in South Gloucestershire and Bristol.

This post offers the opportunity to provide practical and emotional support for women who are survivors of domestic abuse. Based in our refuges which house 6 families with low to medium support needs, you will have at least 2 years relevant experience, good interpersonal and report writing skills and a strong understanding of domestic abuse. Along with other front line workers, you will be a regular part of our support line team, answering calls to women at first point of access to our service. A full induction and training will be provided to develop your skills as part of our commitment to a fully trained and supported staff team.  Survive is a growing organisation with a staff team of 25 and a strong reputation in South Gloucestershire and Bristol.  In 2014 we celebrated our 40 year anniversary.
