Volunteer for us

We currently do not have any volunteer vacancies. However, if you would like to complete and return an application form we can keep it on file and get in touch when we have any openings. You can download our volunteer-application-form and return to info@survivedv.org.uk.

At Survive we really value the support of our volunteers and have a strong team of people who regularly commit their time to supporting different services within Survive, we look for committed volunteers able to offer a minimum of 3 hours per week for a minimum period of one year.

Volunteer roles we recruit to include:

  • Supporting with our community based Information Sessions
  • Supporting our Children and Young People’s services
  • Helping out practically in our refuges
  • Helping with transport
  • Parenting Support
  • Administration
  • Fundraising group
  • IT specialist

I started volunteering for Survive over 5 years ago when I heard of the charity through a colleague, after experiencing first-hand what effect domestic violence can have on children. Growing up and watching what my mum went through I knew I wanted to get involved. I wanted to do something to help raise awareness of the charity, because I know my family would have reached out if we knew help was there. It's a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and do something really worthwhile with your time.
