We are currently looking for a volunteer to support our fundraising group.
The time commitment for this role is one meeting every six weeks, usually Mondays at 5.30pm, plus fundraising events. We ask our volunteers to commit for a period of at least a year.
The fundraising sub group aims to supplement Survive’s income through a programme of events and activities which raise money. Volunteers do not need any particular skills to join the group, just a willingness to make things happen and to give some time to the events. There are usually 6-8 members and the group is chaired by one of our trustees, other members include the Chief Executive, another trustee and volunteers from the local area.
The main activities associated with the role are organising possible community fundraising events (past events have included the Bristol Half Marathon and a quiz) and working as a group to make the ideas a reality.
The ideal volunteer would be able to offer a commitment to the regular meetings and events. They would have good organisational skills, lots of enthusiasm and an ability to make things happen!
We provide training and reasonable travel expenses and the opportunity to join a friendly, skilled and committed team, to learn new skills and to make a difference in the lives of children and young people
