Sessional Crèche / Play Workers (female or male)
Survive is an innovative agency working with women and children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. We are looking to employ flexible Sessional Crèche / Play Workers who have at least two years experience of work in a relevant field and experience of delivering play and activity sessions.
The candidate will be confident to co-deliver crèche sessions based in the community. You will be expected to have a good understanding of the needs of pre-school children and provide stimulating childcare in a safe and therapeutic environment. These sessions last 2 hours and are held three times a week in three different locations (term time only).
The candidate will join our dynamic play team and support the Prevention Leader to provide play sessions for children of all ages who live in Survives refuges. You will be creative, child centred, able to provide positive role modelling to both genders and will be flexible; meeting the needs of a wide range of children. During the school holidays we also support the families to engage in off-site trips in a range of settings across Bristol and (especially North) South Gloucestershire.
The crèche and play sessions are based in different locations. At the moment we are mainly recruiting to sessions in north Bristol. Wherever possible you will be offered regular working hours.
Salary: £16,491 to £17,648 per annum, pro rata (£9.39 per hour)
Closing date: Please submit your applications ASAP. We are looking for immediate start where possible.
Interviews: TBA
