We are looking to recruit an A & E Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advisor (IDSVA) – female only* for 15 hours per week.

Survive is a dynamic and innovative agency working with adults and children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. We have a team of up to twenty five staff working across five sites. This post will work closely with the Senior A&E IDSVA to ensure that Survive provides an effective and efficient service within Southmead Hospital (A&E Department). The A&E IDSVA service will support female and male victims from Bristol, South Gloucestershire and other areas to access immediate support and be referred onto Survive and other relevant external agencies.

The aim of the work is to intervene early, reduce the risk to the victim, refer onto other specialist services and provide a support plan for each victim. You will work closely alongside A&E staff, supporting disclosure and identification of victims. The A&E IDSVA service will provide regular training and presentations for all A&E staff.

The A&E IDSVA will be supported to offer this service through supervision and partnership working with the Senior IDSVA.

Salary: £24, 075 (pro rata)             Fixed term contract until 31st March 2017 (with the hope to extend subject to funding)

Hours: 15 hours per week
